Get Booked for the Holidays


You should start filling your books for the holiday season in September.  Planning is a crucial aspect of marketing for the holiday season.  People are constantly inundated with ideas of the latest trinkets and treasures to fill their homes and bring them joy. You need to start early so that they think of what you have to offer as well.

Gift Giving

Gift giving doesn’t mean giving someone one more thing to simply collect dust in their home.  As an esthetician, you have the optimal gift giving opportunity. Your products are useful and practical. You can promote minimalism and your services hand-in-hand.  If you don’t like the minimalism approach, you have multiple retail options to make your space as inviting to your clients as possible.

Having special offers for the holidays can help fill your books from now into the New Year. 

Here are a few ideas to help:

  • stocking stuffers – offering a gift certificate in a cute box or smaller sized products
  • indulgent gifts – specific package pricing geared at things your clients like but normally wouldn’t spend on themselves
    • this can be a mailer sent directly to their homes
  • pre-booking into January – discounts for services if multiple are bought and paid for now
  • gift with purchase when you pre-book
  • gift cards—all holiday themed if possible
  • create a visible countdown on popular items
  • create a pre-booking contest that lasts for 8 weeks
  • if you are in a large spa or salon, add an incentive to pre-booking with other staff for other services
  • create gift list fliers to target specific needs
  • make sure you are stocked with plenty of retail supplies on hand

Make sure you are taking the time to spruce up your work space for the holidays. Halloween is approaching, and right after is Thanksgiving. Adding seasonal decorations can be just the thing to help your clients start prepping for the holidays now. Visual cues tap into the deeper part of the psyche and usually trigger emotional reactions.  We want to create reactions that are happy and positive.
