You’ve probably heard us talking about the unique, acid-free peeling system by 2B BIO BEAUTY for a while now. The 2B Bio Peel activates the exfoliation process from within the skin, unlike traditional peels which only work on the surface. This treatment imitates microneedling-like results!
During the peel, a unique organic mixture including “microneedles” made of river sponge and lava are pressed into the skin. Over the next day, the skin expels this foreign matter, called “spicules,” activating the exfoliation process from within, boosting collagen, lightening hyper-pigmentation, reducing scarring, oxygenating, and delivering smoother skin.
Jullea took the plunge and started her 2B Bio Peel course at the International Esthetics Cosmetics & Spa Conference in Las Vegas last month. Here’s her first hand experience in the capable hands of our talented educator, Trin!
2B Bio’s unique results come from both massaging and pressing in their organic spicules, which are tiny “needles” made from river sponge, lava, crystal quartz, calendula, arrowroot and acacia gum. Jullea has very sensitive combination skin, and assumed there would be intense heat and prickling when the spicules were lifted and pressed into the skin. She reported that it did not feel that way, and felt less aggressive than a chemical peel. She said “it felt like a pumice scrub, and was cool, not hot.”

That night, with the needles still in her skin, Jullea’s face felt warm and prickly with some flushing. Though she was aware of the needles working, she had no problem sleeping. The spicules were all expelled by morning (about 15 hours after treatment) and Jullea reported clearer skin and reduced pore size without the need for extractions! Pretty awesome for just her first treatment!
Usage notes: 2B Bio recommends a yearly course of 6 treatments. With sensitive skins like Jullea’s, it’s best to wait 2 weeks between treatments. Normal skin can have weekly treatments.
