Lactic Acid is an alpha-hydroxy acid derived from fermented milk, used in skincare for centuries as a source of skin smoothing and skin softening and also as a vehicle for exfoliation in higher concentrations. It can improve skin texture and increase hydration and has become an essential ingredient due to it’s mild skin enhancing effects. Lactic acid can improve the skin’s appearance by one of two ways; either by offering moisturization for dry mature skin or by helping to exfoliate dead skin cells and increasing the rate of cell turnover. It can help stimulate collagen production, act as an astringent, and help rid the skin of impurities. It can also help with photo-aging and sun-damaged skin thereby improving skin texture, radiance, and luminosity.

Mandelic Acid is an alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) derived from bitter almonds, but gentler than most AHAs. It also strengthens collagen, one of the building blocks of the skin’s support network that gives it youthful firmness. Peel Effect Guidelines:
- Light Peel: 1-3 layers

Jenasus Growth Factor Peel 2.5% by M.A.D. Skincare
It is recommended that new users begin with 1-3 layers for a light/medium peel. Generally 4-6 layers will result in a medium/deep peel and 7-8 layers can result in a deep peel.
